Amazon has arrived in the pharmacy market. Pharmaceutical industry players have never been more aware of Amazon's relevance as an advertising and sales channel. Amazon is still at the beginning of its journey, but has arrived in the pharmaceutical market. The mail-order giant has now become an indispensable channel not only in the lifestyle segment, but also in the healthcare industry - even without Amazon Pharmacy launching in Germany.

In the current pharmaceutical company survey, 93% of respondents said they were actively involved with Amazon (+8% year-on-year). Overall, a full 62% of respondents consider Amazon to be an important sales channel for pharmaceuticals. In 2022, nonRx pharma products generated sales of approximately €239 million on Amazon, with growth of 27%. By 2025, nonRx sales will triple at a CAGR of 46%, according to study estimates.
